Stewart promoted in Missouri Army National Guard

ST. JOSEPH - Ethan Stewart, of Lawson, was recently promoted to the rank of specialist in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Stewart currently drills in St. Joseph with Company C, 35th Infantry Division and is a signal support systems specialist. He has been a Citizen-Soldier for almost two years.

"This promotion means I'm one step closer to sergeant," said Stewart.

Now that he has completed his initial military training and is settled into his new unit, Stewart plans to continue his education and explore his career options.

"I want to do something in the Kingdom of God," said Stewart. "I don't know what that is, but He's going to let me know, whenever God's ready to let me know."

Stewart is a 2009 graduate of Lawson High School.
