Missouri Guard's blog goes live

The Missouri National Guard is excited to announce the launch of its official blog.

Missouri National Guard Live, www.blog.moguard.com, is where Soldiers, Airmen, Families and supporters can get the most up-to-date information on current events, programs and initiatives, and find answers to any questions they might have.

Brig. Gen. Stephen Danner, adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard, said the blog will be a place for Guardmembers to communicate with their leadership.

"We have the most seasoned, combat-tested and combat proven leadership in the history of the Missouri National Guard," Danner said. "This blog will be a valuable forum for our leadership to share its considerable expertise."

The site debuts with a blog entry and video from the adjutant general. In them, he speaks directly to the Guard audience about what's to come and his vision of the blog as a forum for open discussion.

The site will feature a monthly blog from Danner, who plans to use this new source for information sharing to promote two-way communication and discuss such topics as improved promotion systems, employer and Family issues. The blog will also feature video feeds, photo galleries and provide access to Missouri's other social media sites.

The blog also features guest columnists including subject matter experts who will share their perspective from the field.

"This blog is another opportunity for us to reach our audience," Danner said. "It facilitates discussion and encourages our audience to ask questions and provide feedback on their experiences."
