JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Maj. Gen. Stephen Danner, the adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard, released the latest addition of his video command messages.
The new message, titled "Missouri Communities of Excellence," features Col. Wendul G. Hagler, chief of staff of the Missouri National Guard.
"We must foster an organizational environment in which a process improvement mentality can thrive and people are using quality-related tools and techniques on a regular basis," Hagler said. "It is through the Missouri Communities of Excellence Program that we will ensure these organizational changes take place."
The program will help the Missouri National Guard become a more efficient and cost effective organization, said Capt. Charity Summers, of the office of policy and strategic engagement.
"Now, more than ever it's important for the National Guard to make sure it is using its resources as efficiently as possible," Summers said. "This program is crucial in making sure we're doing that."
In the message, Hagler discusses the importance of the program in the Guard's future. As government looks to cut costs wherever possible, the Missouri Communities of Excellence Program is an important step in ensuring that the Missouri National Guard will continue to provide the same high-quality service to the state and nation.
"The Missouri Communities of Excellence Program will be the way ahead as we continually develop efficient and effective methods to conduct our day to day processes," Hagler said. "This program is the driving force for ensuring our organization thrives as resources become scarce."
