Missouri to host Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the U.S.

ST. LOUIS - Missouri will host the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States' 39th annual conference in August.

The association represents more than 414,000 enlisted troops of the Army and Air National Guard, their Families, and National Guard retirees in 54 states and territories. The conference will kick off on Sunday, August 8, with opening ceremonies at the America's Center.

Approximately, 1,500 National Guard members, both enlisted, officers and their Families, are expected at this gathering. Adjutants general and National Guard Bureau leadership also will be in attendance.

The conference identifies the legislative issues which are important to our members and come directly from the association's membership through the resolution process. These are the issues that will be brought before Congress in the 2010 Congressional year. Awards will be given to outstanding Soldiers and Airmen of the year as well as to civilian employers, who have been identified as outstanding members to their employees of the National Guard.

EANGUS is an enlisted association organized to pursue mutual goals in the support of the National Guard and the national defense.

Through our "We Care for America Foundation", a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, the association has provided over $370,000 in grants since Hurricane Katrina to Guard members and their Families. More than 412,000 Guard members have deployed to support overseas contingency operations.
