Johnson enlists in Missouri Army National Guard

CAMDENTON, Mo. - Joseph Richard Johnson, of Camdenton, has enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Johnson will serve with Company D of the Recruit Sustainment Program in Springfield. Through the program he will learn basic Army skills and values and become more familiar with his role as a Soldier in the Missouri Army National Guard.

"I'm proud to wear the uniform and serve my country," Johnson said.

Johnson was recruited by Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Marr of the Missouri Army National Guard's Camdenton recruiting office. Currently attending high school in Camdenton, Johnson is employed with Dairy Queen.

Johnson is supported in his decision to join the Guard by his parents, Michelle Cummings and Thad Johnson, also of Camdenton.
