Army Aviation and Safety are directed
by the State Aviation Officer(SAO). 

Missouri Army Aviation assets are located at Whiteman Air Force Base (Knob Knoster), Ft. Leonard Wood, Springfield, and Jefferson City.  These assets are under the control of the SAO. Aviation capabilities are used to support and enhance training for Missouri units, support units engaged in military operations at home and abroad, and provide disaster relief within the state.
