reserve Officer Training corps (Rotc)

Many colleges and universities have a Senior ROTC program as part of their curriculum.  Army ROTC is a 2 to 4 year program in which there is no commitment for the first two years of classes.  Prior to the third year, students will sign a service commitment (ROTC Contract) and be formally enrolled in the "advanced" program.  Thus, almost any student may enroll in the first levels (first two years) of the program.  Veterans and current military members who are MOS-qualified may be eligible for an accelerated two-year ROTC program in lieu of the four-year program.  (Army National Guard Scholarship Information)
