COMBAT ARMS
CANNON CREWMEMBER   PURPOSE: This course teaches the technical skills required of a soldier to perform as a skill level 1  cannoneer in a field artillery howitzer section.

TOTAL ARMY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE (TAITC):
PURPOSE:  To produce Army instructors that can prepare and conduct a quality training session, that will enable soldiers to accomplish a task to standard.
SCOPE:
1. Course objective and requirements
2. Student and instructor roles, responsibilities

3. TAITC definitions
4. Adult communications and learning theories
5. Training session development concepts
6. Instructor methodologies presented by students through practical exercise and presentation

  

COMBAT LIFESAVER:  PURPOSE:  The combat lifesaver course is designed to train non-medical soldiers to provide emergency medical care as a secondary mission. The course is demanding and ensures a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Combat Lifesaver principles. Exams are closed book and administered in controlled conditions.

SGITC Prerequisites:
1. Certificate of completion from the Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC) or another approved
Army instructor training course (ITC).

2. Assigned or pending assignment as a small group instructor.
