The Christopher S. "Kit" Bond Army Aviation Support Facility #2 is located on the corner of Iowa Ave and Artillery Circle at the Forney Army Airfield/Waynesville Regional Airport (TBN) on Ft. Leonard Wood. When flying into TBN, AASF #2 is located on the East side of runway 12 via the Bravo taxiway.
AASF #2 is the home station for Co C, 1/106th AVN (Assault). Co C is a helicopter assault company comprised of UH-60A Blackhawks. Our primary mission is to support flight training for Co C aviators and crewmembers and provide maintenance support for Co Câ€™s UH-60As. AASF #2 is also responsible for coordinating and performing state missions such as support for natural disasters, VIP missions, static displays, combined arms training, and other specialized missions.
AASF #2 hours of operation are from 0700-1630 Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend Additional Flight Training Periods (AFTPs) are scheduled on a regular basis. Please contact the facility for more information or to schedule an AFTP.
