Aviation Support

Mission

To provide aerial transportation of LEA personnel / equipment (including domestic cannabis supression and eradication operations), persons in LEA custody, seized property or contraband as part of ongoing time-sensitive counterdrug operations, or when security or other special circumstances reasonably necessitate National Guard support and there is a counterdrug nexus.

Routine administrative aerial transportation is not permitted under this mission, nor are missions that compete with private enterprise. LEA officers are responsible for the security of any evidence or persons in their custody.

Missions supporting federal, state and local law enforcement agencies engaged in Counterdrug activity through aerial photography, infrared / TV surveillance, observation, airborne command post and transportation / extradition.

RAID

Missions supporting federal, state and local law enforcement agencies engaged in Counterdrug activity through thermal profiling, disturbed earth observation, vehicle surveillance, photo reconnaissance and eradication.
