Family Readiness Support Assistants
Family Readiness Support Assistants (FRSA
The FRSA provides the commander a support team for their Family Readiness Group (FRG). The FRSA Maintains the continuity and stability of Family Readiness Groups (FRG) as units undergo changes in volunteers and leadership. The FRSA provides administrative and logistical support to commanders, rear detachment commanders and volunteer FRG leaders. Taking the administrative burden off the volunteers allows FRG leaders to concentrate on performing outreach to Soldiers and their Families in the command, thus preserving stability on the home front, especially during periods of deployment.
“Empower commanders in their duty to deliver the Total Army Family Program (AR 600-20) so that Soldiers and Families are entitled, informed, educated, assisted, and made ready for the unique demands of military life before, during, and after deployment.”
