The DoD has
made provision for the protection of their network assets to include your
home computer. All DoD Employees may download the latest antivirus and
firewall software now, even from home. Once you have installed the desired
software package it is recommended that you update your definitions. To
obtain definition updates it is recommended that the home user utilize the
vendor site with their automatic update system that is preconfigured with
the software.
The available software includes Antivirus,
Firewall, and Anti-Spyware technologies from several popular providers.
To get the
software...
- Login to
Army Knowledge Online (AKO).
- When
logged in, place mouse cursor on Self Service in top page menu.

Left-click Antivirus Services from the drop-down.
- Follow
the instructions & links on the resulting page to obtain the software
