What's New:

Master Fitness Trainer Course (MFTC) is back! After a 11 year hiatus, the Army is revamping the course. The Reserve Component version will be finalized by 2015. Until then, the UFRC course will be operational in Missouri.

UFRC course for FY13 is Nov 5-9, 2012. A pop-up course later in the summer may be considered, depending on funding.

UFRC course, SEP 24-28, 2012, at the MO-RTI.

FIT-P+ Class 01-12 will have their follow on drill July 14-15, 2012 at the RTI. There will be a diagnostic APFT/Weigh-in, blood test, classes, counseling, and of course some fun PT! A welcome letter will be sent out at June drill.

Congrats to the 2012 Missouri Army National Guard Combatives Team, who took

2nd place at the All Guard National Tournament on March 18, 2012.

UFRC Class 04-12!

ISTS gym: SSG Osborn, SGT Roberson, SGT Buhr, and SPC Fick complete "Cindy", a Crossfit workout consisting of as many rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups, and 15 air squats as possible in 20 minutes.

The first UFRC of the year graduated on November 18, 2011 at the RTI. The students enjoyed the new updates, picked up a slew of tools to take back to their units, and endured some grueling PT sessions!

Have an excuse not to workout? Tell it to 100-year old, Fauja Singh, who finished a marathon this weekend...

Operational Fitness Trainers Course

12-16 September 2011, Ft. Hood, TX

SGT Garton (UFRC, 2175th MP CO) and I attended the OFTC last week. The course was outstanding and I got some great ideas for the Warrior Spirit and UFRC courses, as well as for personal and unit fitness in garrison and deployed environments. The instructors were very knowledgeable and the facilities were top notch.
